I am a firm supporter of reopening Plymouth Airport, and last night I attended the Fly Plymouth Public Meeting on what the future might hold for the airport.

It was great to see so many passionate members of the public in attendance, and it reaffirmed my belief that the airport would be a much used and much valued transport hub for the city if we were to be it reopened.

I’m continuing to stay in contact with Fly Plymouth, the Labour Council and Luke Pollard MP to work out how we can work together to get the airport up and running again. Plymouth is not some forgotten backwater, and deserves to have a modern airport that can open up access to the rest of the country and the rest of the world.

Let me know what you think. Do you want to make aviation part of Plymouth’s future?
