Today I visited the Plymouth Citybus HQ and met with CEO Richard Stevens. I was pleased to discuss a number of issues that regularly appear in my inbox and come up when talking to people on the doorstep, including service availability, smart use of city data and keeping passengers and drivers safe.

Buses often don’t get enough attention at national level and I was pleased when Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn raised this recently at Prime Minister’s Questions.

Bus connectivity is critical for so many people in our city – for getting to work, for visiting family, and for getting to key places such as the doctors or the bank.

As someone who was born in this city and is now raising my own family right here in Crownhill, I know the importance of bus services to our communities, and that is why it is such an important issue for me as the Labour Parliamentary Candidate for Plymouth Moor View.

I would love to hear how you think we could improve the bus services in Plymouth, so feel free to send me an email with your experiences and help us make Plymouth a better city for everyone.
