I was shocked to see the revelations about Persimmon Homes in the Channel 4 Dispatches programme as it was revealed as the UK’s worst housebuilder in ratings by people buying their homes.

Since then, I’ve had a number of people get in touch with me about Persimmon Homes and Palmerston Heights in Derriford. I’m planning to check some of these out first hand soon, but if you have any views or experiences that you’d like to share with me, please do get in touch.

The Mirror reported that Persimmon, which made more than £1billion in pre-tax profits last year, has been blasted by homeowners for their shoddy standards and poor customer care.

The housebuilder has also been heavily criticised for forcing people to move in when work had not been completed, with some properties having hundreds of faults.

Most worryingly, it was also revealed that some of Persimmon’s timber-framed houses had been missing fire barriers, and the housebuilder is now inspecting 3,200 timber-framed buildings across the South West after other residents raised concerns about fire protection.

If you have any experience of houses built by Persimmon Homes then I would like to hear them.
